I think it was
1999 and I remember
seeing delirious? on a WOW video playing their hit, "Deeper." I
thought, that was good. I liked the sound, the lyrics and the way it was
filmed. Then, that was it. I wasn't really into their music after that.
Until a couple of summers ago, I was sitting outside listening to a CD I
had never heard before. It was one that my wife ordered and was basically
just sitting around. It was their second CD, entitled, "Cutting
Edge." Wow this is good stuff. It has a little softer beat than some
of their more recent stuff, but I liked it. The more I listened, the more
I got hooked. The next thing you know, I wanted to hear more of their
older stuff. Little by little, I started collecting all their CD's. I
realized what I had been missing all these years. Good musically, but also
good lyrically. Now I have all their CD's. I like them all, except for
some reason I can't get into the CD, "Touch" It's has quite a
different sound than the rest. Why make a website and a fuss over a music group? Well, because their music has blessed me and encouraged me in my worship and walk with God. If there is anything that can help encourage us in our walks with God, it's good stuff to promote. So here I am, I have some 70 plus songs of theirs on my mp3 player. I listen and worship all the time. Well, yeah, I listen to other music too, but they are one of my favorites. They have a variety of music, ranging from softer rock to classic rock. What I like, is that you can hear and understand the words to their songs as they sing. Nothing more annoying than not being able to understand what is being said in the song cause the music is overbearing the vocals. A lot of their stuff is obviously, worship and praise. Tim Jupp adds his mix with the keyboards to add a little background techno-type sounds. Gotta like Martin Smith's British accent. The new CD released by Delirious? In 2007 I saw Delirious? in concert for the first time!
They passed through Washington State as part of their 2007 USA tour. I was excited and was blessed by their music. They have some cool videos playing in the background as they sing. It's nice too, most of their songs are up on the screen, so if you don't know the lyrics, you can sing along. After the show, I was definitely feeling delirious! They really love the Lord! If you get a chance to see them, I highly recommend it, you won't be sorry you did. Just delirious! New: Check out the d:music page for some Delirious? songs that you can click and play! Awesome! Am I delirious? Must be! Next>
